My name is Wilanda Stevens. I am twenty‑nine years old and currently majoring in Speech Pathology. This is my second semester back in college after a ten‑year break, and returning to school has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My long‑term goal is to earn my Master’s in Speech‑Language Pathology and become a Speech Therapist, with a special focus on supporting hearing‑impaired children. I’m passionate about helping young learners find their voice both literally and figuratively, and I’m excited to build a career centered around meaningful communication.

Outside of school, my interests include reading, legos, cooking, and spending time with my amazing family. My world revolves around my nine‑year‑old daughter. She keeps me busy in the best possible ways and motivates me to keep pushing toward my goals. Balancing parenthood and academics isn’t always easy, it has taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of leading by example. Every step I take in my education is not just for my future, but for hers as well. My boyfriend and my parents make up the best support system anyone could ask for. They are a huge help and I strive to make them and my daughter proud.

My main goal for my ePortfolio is to build a creative space that authentically represents who I am—both personally and as a student. I want it to be a place where I can showcase work I’m proud of and reflect on my growth over time. Setting up this Wix account has been an interesting experience, but one that I’ve genuinely enjoyed. The easiest part was designing the layout and exploring different visual options; the most challenging part was learning how to navigate all of the platform’s functions. Overall, I feel confident in the progress I’ve made with my ePortfolio, though I know I still need to make a few revisions to make it look more polished and professional. I don’t have any questions at the moment.
